What is the first step in applying?
The first step for applying to PBIT is to call the admissions office and schedule an appointment.
Are interviews personal?
Yes and PBIT will take this opportunity to answer ALL questions that a prospective student may have. Students will also take a tour of the School at that time and see the excellent Lab equipment.
What are the admissions requirements?
Entrance requirement is a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent for International Students.
Do you accept international students?
We do and foreign credentials are referred to an evaluation agency, provided by PBIT staff, so that the student’s level can be addressed and make the admissions process smoother.We encourage International Students to start studying a great career in the USA!

Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
Day Class: April 26, 2010 8 am to 1 pm Monday though Friday
Evening Class: April 26, 2010 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm Monday through Thursday
END (Electroneurodiagnostic Program) and MA (Medical Assistant Program)
Evening Classes: August 20, 2010 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm Monday through Thursday
Do you have financial assistance?
Yes, we have 2 main financing Routes:
- Student Loans through Specialized Institutions
- Direct PBIT financing through in house plans available only at PBIT
Are healthcare jobs in demand now?
PBIT offers information originated by the US Department of Labor, in regard to Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Find the US Dept. of Labor Link in the Admissions section, to see it.
What services are offered to PBIT graduates?
PBIT is proud to share this information: As a PBIT Alumni, you will always have the School’s doors open, including the Lab and other facilities- like the Computer Research Room- where our Graduates can always refresh their skills and come to have a nice exchange with the faculty and current students.
What about job placement?
We do keep an excellent database with new openings that is constantly being renewed. Aside from that, our Faculty is very experienced clinically and will adequately prepare our students for the job market.We constantly have requests from many clinical sites for graduate referrals. Although we provide with this excellent service, like ALL Schools, we can not guarantee a job, since this is something that only a graduate can achieve.
Can PBIT graduates take the ARDMS registry?
Students holding a Bachelor's degree are eligible to take the registry exam immediately after completing our program. Students who don’t have this credential have to work full time for one year to be eligible for the exam.
Can I find a job immediately after I graduate?
Of course, many of our graduates find jobs immediately after completing the curriculum. We do encourage all of our students to take the ARDMS Registry test.
What about review courses?
PBIT offers 4 times a year Physics review Courses taught by Dr. Ortega, our Program Director. These courses are offered Free of Charge to all the Medical Sonography Community as a contribution made by the School to help improve the quality of the Professional DMS Professional.
What about clinical internship?
PBIT maintains Clinical Agreements with over 33 Clinical Sites in South Florida where students are placed to put all their gained Sonographic skills to work. This is an exciting time where the students can taste the real world of Sonography, along with learning from the great experience of Excellent Clinical Instructors.
